I'm away in Manchester this weekend and the thought of not being able to connect to the Internet for 2 whole days has me in a cold sweat. It's sounding like I need therapy isn't it? Ah well, I'm sure there are worse things to be addicted to, right?
Anyways last night I was at a friends and she showed me her T-Mobile Web 'n' Walk dongle. You plug your sim card into it, connect it to your laptop and tada! it delivers Broadband via 3g and speeds of upto 1.8mbs where ever you are, no need to sit in StarBucks and end up bouncing off the walls from all that caffine anymore! ;)
In the early hours whilst reading through some blogs I discovered Entrecard. Entrecart is the brainchild of Graham Langdom, the creator of The Million Dollar Wiki, for anyone who hasn't heard of him, shame on you! Most Internet Entrepeneurs have ideas, but whether they are good or not remains to be seen because they end up on the back burner. The difference is when this guy has an idea he runs with it and I'd say Entrecard is already shaping up to look like it could be a success.
So what is Entrecard? Simplified, it's a way for you to advertise your blog on other members sites for free by using a digital business card. Advertising is bought using credits which you have to earn. They can be earned by visiting other members sites and "sending them" your digital business card. You also earn credits when people visit your site and send you their business card.
My first mini mission was to get the site listed and indexed by Google. After only 48 hours not only is the site listed and indexed, it's also ranking 3rd for the search term Female Internet Entrepreneur!
I was a little worried about the SEO as Internet Dreamer was built in only 8 hours using a rapid development method that I've perfected after years of working for people that wanted everything yesterday. The majority of time was saved by using tables for the design instead of full CSS.
My game plan is to make money through affiliate schemes, designing sites for clients and continuing to develop high quality, rich content websites. I always have ideas for new sites but no time to make the ideas a reality, in the next 12 months I will build and market those that I think will be the most successful.
Is it possible to make a million in a year? With hard work, and a little luck, anythings possible! You have to have a dream, right? :)
How many bad days at the office do you need before you realise it's time to jump ship? On a daily basis I find myself fantasising about telling my boss where to stick it, his job that is! So on the 20th December 2007, I plan to do just that. Maybe a little sooner if they find this site! ;)
So who will be my next employer? Thats where the dreamer comes into play, I've always wanted to work for myself so the plan: One Woman. One Dream. One Million. One Year.
